Who we are
We are a Baptist church situated at 126 Point Chevalier Road, hence our name church@onetwosix.
We gather on Sunday evenings 6pm – 8pm where our service begins with communion and a potluck dinner.
Invitation and hospitality are core values and we look forward to meeting the visitors that share our table every Sunday.
Our tagline is Come Hungry and we aim to nourish both the body and the soul.
Our model
We are mission-centred and want to be part of fulfilling God’s purpose for His Church in the world. Doing mission together as a church family is more fun and effective than as lone rangers.
Being a church family on mission needs the whole church body to be healthy and working together as it should. This is why we reserve so much time in our service for conversations. We need time to talk to become known, to minister to each other and discover the spiritual gifts we have been blessed with.
A volunteer-led church structure with very flat hierarchy works well for us. We all have to contribute and share the load as a true family should. We delight in equipping our people, young and old, for ministry.

We anticipate the future restored Kingdom of God by living into the Five Marks of Mission:

Mission for us is relational. It looks like loving God and loving our neighbours. It is finding ways for our neighbours to experience the church family in action, to be offered a relationship with Jesus and to embrace the mission for themselves.
Leadership Team
We are led by a diverse and experienced volunteer team, currently of eight members. They cross over with other teams and committees within the life of the church, which in turn engage almost all our members in service at some level.
